TITLE: Customer Relationship Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales

Role Overview

Based in the Flexenet office in the City of London, the Customer Relationship Manager will be an important new position in our sales team focused on increasing revenue from Flexenet trader voice services to the banks, brokers and fund managers across the UK and European market.


This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven individual with a passion for technology and a desire to excel in sales within the FinTech industry.


The role is full time, with flexibility for remote/home working Mondays and Fridays.


Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for nurturing the client base to ensure all our users receive the highest levels of service whilst supporting the sales process to grow sales and increase profitability.


The ideal candidate will be a professional, highly motivated, energetic team player with excellent communication skills, able to listen carefully and understand a client’s needs and turn that into a new business opportunity.


Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain regular friendly and open relationships with Flexenet clients to become the go-to person when they have a new requirement

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within existing Flexenet clients to close a sale

  • Identify and target prospective new clients in the financial services industry through research, lead generation, and networking

  • Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement to introduce our financial technology solutions and create new business opportunities

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline, tracking leads and opportunities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our financial technology products and services, staying up to date with industry trends and competitive offerings

  • Conduct effective sales presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing the value proposition of our solutions to potential clients

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize lead generation strategies and campaigns

  • Work closely with the global sales team and other internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through the sales process

  • Actively listen to client feedback and requirements, addressing concerns, and proposing tailored solutions that meet their needs

  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, negotiate pricing, and contract terms and close deals to achieve sales targets

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions using the Flexenet portal

  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status and forecast to sales management


Requirements for the Role

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field (preferred)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients effectively

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • IT literate with basic understanding of computer networks

  • Confident working in a high tech environment

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a persuasive and results-oriented approach

  • Ability to listen and understand a customer’s needs, even when they don’t understand them themselves, converting to a business opportunity

  • Highly self-motivated and target-driven, with a passion for exceeding sales goals

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and adapt to evolving market conditions

  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

We spend around 60% of our time in the office and around 40% of our time working remotely. Some employees may be required to work from the office or client sites more than 60% of the time, if required by their role and/or client needs.
